Scouting Report
Jersey #7...A big, strong, and athletic Quarterback that proved to be both tough and durable during his time at Michigan...he never missed a game due to an injury...is very quick driving away from the Center...carries the ball chest-high before his release...has a quick release using proper wrist action in his delivery...has good passing mechanics...has good body control when he throws on the move...has good mobility to escape the rush and has good pocket awareness...has the arm to drive the ball in the seam with good velocity and can feather his passes with touch when necessary...has the arm to make all the throws required at the next level...He can also hold for placements ...needs to improve his passes on timing patterns and learn to look off his primary receiver and scan the field for other options.
Bottom Line - Henson has the arm and size that Scouts look for in a Quarterback and has matured both as a person and body-wise since his days at Michigan...He reminds me of a young Troy Aikman...Drew turned 24 years old on February 13th.
