Workout Comments

JaMarcus Russell - While most prospects wore a short-sleeved shirt, Russell is dressed in a long sleeved sweat shirt and has a pull-over winter cap on.  Russell is the only player to wear a hat.

(3:15 pm)  Russell has finally shed his sweatshirt.  Players are still participating in the drills and Russell will throw after all the drills have been completed.

(3:54 pm)  Russell is stretching and getting ready to throw.  He is still donning the hat.

(4:07 pm)  Russell has shed the hat and is ready to throw.

(4:45 pm)  Russell displayed a very strong arm and good touch at times, but also seemed to get a bit tired during the drill and struggled with the 20 yard out (throwing to his left) in which he completed just 2 of 5 passes.  He overthrew his receiver on one of the passes and was short on two others.  Russell fared a bit better throwing the out to his right but missed low on one of his passes.  Russell appeared to be winded near the end of the drill and needed to wipe his face from sweat numerous times during his workout. To sum it all up, Russell displayed the arm strength that everyone knew he had, but his overall workout wasn't flawless and could have been better for the expected number one overall pick in the Draft.
