Today, a 26-reporter editorial team plus 64 stringers file 180 to 240 original articles a day across 11 East Coast states — coverage that national wires cannot match for speed or texture.

Why we built a newsroom between Boston and Miami.
When we launched East Coast Sports News out of a fourth-floor walk-up on Hudson Street in 2017, the pitch was simple and, by industry standards, almost naive: a regional sports desk that took the teams between Maine and Florida as seriously as the national networks took the Lakers and the Cowboys.
Eight years later, that pitch has aged into something we believe is now structural. The Atlantic Coast, the Big East, the AAC, the CAA, the SEC East, the NFC East and AFC East — these are not regional curiosities. They are the connective tissue of American sports, and they deserve a newsroom whose reporters actually know which assistant coach moved from Chestnut Hill to Storrs, which prep quarterback is committed to Syracuse, and why the Hurricanes' third-down package changed in the bye week.

Launched in 2017 in Hoboken, New Jersey, by former NJ Advance Media and Bleacher Report editors who believed the Eastern Seaboard needed its own sports desk. The newsroom opened with seven reporters and a single conference beat. It now covers 142 Division I programs across 11 states.

Editorial Standards
How our reporters work.
Every game story is filed within 90 seconds of the final whistle — verified against the official box score, attributed to the beat reporter on the scene, and run through a two-editor copy desk before publication. Transfer rumors are reported as rumors, never as fact, until the player or program confirms. We do not publish betting picks, parlays, or guaranteed outcomes, and we do not present speculation as news.
Sourcing is the spine of the desk. Each beat reporter maintains a published source list — assistant coaches, training staff, scouts, agents, and front-office personnel — and we name sources on the record whenever possible. The Coastal Confidence Index, our proprietary 12-month outlook for every East Coast CFB and NFL franchise, is built from the same beat reporting that drives our game coverage.
